Finding an adviser who suits your needs can be daunting. What criteria should you consider? How would you assess whether an adviser has the ability to meet your particular requirements?
One of the key issues to consider is whether your adviser has the skills to not only develop a sound investment strategy but to invest your funds in a way that meets your preferences. Some clients prefer to delegate investment to professional fund managers, others prefer to have a more hands on approach by investing directly in shares and fixed interest securities. Often businesses are set up to deal with one of these approaches but rarely both.
One of our strengths and value add at Chancellor is that we offer both methods of investment and you have flexibility to choose your investment approach.
The business was established in 1995. It started as a family investment office for the founder Gillis Broinowski, and steadily extended its advisory and portfolio administration services to other family offices.
In 2005, the firm merged with a private client business, Hattersley Lloyd & Co, giving it greater scale and resources to service private clients. In 2007, the firm recruited the partners of another niche portfolio advisory business, Exton Investment Management.
Today the business has a team of 5 advisers who advise a wide spectrum of private clients, family offices and foundations.
